Take any dish to the next level with this delicious dill flavored sour cream! Made with just a handful of simple ingredients, it comes together in minutes and is the perfect way to jazz up any meal!
Let’s face it. I’m an absolute sucker for a good sauce. Why? Because a good sauce MAKES the meal! Take, for instance, Big Mac Sauce. It’s tangy and creamy, with a hint of dill pickle, and it’s the one thing that separates a Big Mac from any other burger.
And if you ask me, there’s a perfect sauce for every meal. Whether it’s Horseradish Sauce or Cilantro Lime Sauce or homemade Yum Yum Sauce, I’m here for it. And this Dill Sour Cream is my latest obsession.
Made with just a handful of simple ingredients, it comes together in minutes and instantly adds flavor to any dish. We love using it on potatoes, and it’s equally delicious with roasted veggies or any of your favorite meats. In other words… you’ll be using it on everything!

what you’ll need for this recipe
Sour cream – I used 1 cup of sour cream as the base of this recipe. Plain, full fat sour cream works best with the amounts listed in this recipe, but you can substitute reduced fat sour cream if you prefer. [NOTE: You may need to adjust the amount of lemon juice since reduced fat varieties aren’t as thick.]
Lemon juice – I added 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice to the sour cream for a bright, fresh citrus flavor. I used fresh squeezed lemon juice, but you can also use bottled juice for convenience.
Spices – I kept the spices simple – just 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Dill – The majority of the flavor in this recipe comes from the dill. I added 2 Tablespoons of fresh, finely chopped dill. Feel free to add even more to accommodate your tastes.

This was so flavorful and delicious! A bit salty, but otherwise a huge hit.
