A delicious copycat recipe from the restaurant Raising Cane’s! This sauce is super creamy and packed with amazing flavor. Perfect for dipping chicken, french fries, or any of your favorites!
It’s always interesting to me how restaurants can become famous for one specific thing. Like Bonefish Grill’s Bang Bang Shrimp… or McDonald’s Big Mac… or, a local favorite, Parkside 23’s Creamed Corn.
When I first heard about Raising Cane’s, it wasn’t because there was one opening up nearby, but because I kept seeing recipes for Cane’s Sauce online! Apparently Cane’s was famous for their sauce? Clearly I needed to get my hands on some.
So when my kids decided to stop at one on their way home from Six Flags, you better believe I had them bring me some sauce. And this recipe is the end result!
It’s perfectly creamy and flavorful, with a hint of sweetness and plenty of savory. We love it with chicken (of course) and it’s also delicious with shrimp, roasted veggies, and anything fried. Whether you’re hooked on Cane’s Sauce or trying it for the first time… ENJOY!
what you’ll need for this recipe
Mayo – Mayo forms the creamy base of this recipe. I used Hellman’s Real Mayo, but you can feel free to use any brand or variety you have on hand. You can also substitute Miracle Whip if you prefer, just note that the flavor of the sauce won’t be as authentic as it would be with mayo.
Ketchup – Ketchup combines with the mayo to create a slightly sweet, creamy sauce that’s ready for all the extra seasonings. I used Heinz Tomato Ketchup, but once again, you can feel free to use any brand or variety you have on hand.
Garlic powder – Garlic powder adds extra flavor to the sauce and helps to balance out the sweetness of the ketchup. You can also substitute fresh minced garlic, but the flavor will be much more intense than using garlic powder.
Worcestershire sauce – Worcestershire sauce adds a deliciously savory depth of flavor to the sauce. Feel free to use more or less of it depending on your tastes.
Lemon juice – Lemon juice brightens up the flavor and adds a necessary element of acidity to the sauce. You can use either fresh squeezed or bottled lemon juice in this recipe.
Salt & pepper – Finally, a pinch of salt and pepper brings out all the other delicious flavors in this sauce.
