Eggnog Mudslides are a delicious holiday twist on a classic cocktail! This festive drink will put you in the holiday spirit. The perfect addition to all your celebrations!
I was talking with my mom this morning about Christmas….and the brunch menu….because all of a sudden it’s time to start planning! Which is exciting, and scary, and a little bit stressful. But mostly exciting. Because CHRISTMAS!!! Are you ready?
I have to admit, when it comes to Christmas with my family, I really do have to brace myself. Not because of conflict or politics or overbearing parents….but because of ALL THE KIDS! When my family gets together, there are 12 kids total…and 8 of them are age 5 or under. Which makes for a LOT of noise, a LOT of chaos, and, of course, a LOT of fun. The kids play so well together, and I can guarantee they’re all beside themselves with excitement. Already!
Eggnog Mudslides
But it definitely leaves you feeling like you need a break. And some peace and quiet. And….a drink! So this year I’m coming armed with something magical – These Eggnog Mudslides! The perfect after-dinner drink and definitely necessary after a day spent with 12 kids. I’ve always loved mudslides and I LOVE this eggnog twist! They’re sweet, creamy, and a little bit like dessert in a glass, with the added benefit of alcohol. Does it get any better than that?
Now, I know I’m not the only one. Whose family Christmas is chaotic and insane. So take it from me – pick up some vodka, kahlua, and eggnog on your way…..whip up some of these Eggnog Mudslides….and you’ll be everyone’s hero! Because holidays are meant to be spent with family, and we wouldn’t trade it for the world, but there comes a time when we have to take care of ourselves….am I right? And Eggnog Mudslides are the BEST way to do it.

Ooooo…. this is genius! I have been wanting to come up with a cocktail using eggnog that was more than just eggnog with rum or bourbon. This looks perfect! 🙂

Hi! Does 1 part = 1 shot? What is the serving size for this recipe? Can’t wait to make!

When a recipe says “part” It means whatever you want it to mean. If you want to make a bigger recipe then it can mean a cup. You can customize it to as much or as little as you want to make.
Shaun says
Can you tell me what the measurement is for one part or the actual amount you used for this recipe?

I recently made eggnog for the first time and I liked it but was kind of surprised at how bland it was. I think I would absolutely love this twist on it though!

Just made this tonight for a friend and I. It is amazing!! So simple I was guaranteed not to mess it up! Thank you!

I was reading other people’s comments about “what does one part mean?”. It means if you make one cocktail one part does equal one shot. If you want to make a patch for a crowd, one part would mean if you use 1 cup vodka,1 cup kaluaha then use2 cups eggnog . What ever amount you use for eggnog use half of each liquer. 4 cups eggnog,2 cups vodka and 2 cups kaluaha etc Also just make it to taste.
Linda says
Thank you. Making it for more than one person was just what I was looking for!

Lordy, lordy…. how difficult, obsessive compulsive must some folks be?
You’re recipe is awesome, easy to understand, & concise. I am so sick of all the “ninnys” in the world wanting to hear themselves more than need be.

I’m going grocery shopping today, and I’m definitely getting some Kahlua so I can make this! I mean… I have some whipped cream in the fridge that needs to get used, so…

Any reason a recipe that has 3 ingredients which you simply mix needs 4 photos of the drink? It tasted great, but why all the filler photos and comments?
Gail says
My sister -n-law and I enjoyed this drink on Christmas eve. I enjoyed it so much I had it again on Christmas day. I added a little more eggnog in my drink. My sister -n-law likes more alcohol in hers and kept with the recipe.
