Air Fryer Pork Chops

Clock icon 30 minutes

The BEST Air Fryer Pork Chops! They’re tender and juicy on the inside, crispy and delicious on the outside, and ready in 30 minutes or less. Guaranteed to be a new favorite in your dinner rotation!

Let’s talk pork chops. They’re one of those things that definitely get a bad rap… and to be honest… I can understand why! They’re mild in flavor (which means seasoning is a MUST), easy to overcook (which means a good meat thermometer is essential), and the meat can be a little tough. That is… if you don’t know what you’re doing.

I was never a big fan of pork chops until I tried this air fried version. And now… I’m a complete convert! The meat is SO moist and juicy, and the breading is so perfectly crispy. They’ve quickly become one of our family’s favorites! And I love how easy they are to make.

Just follow the simple F-E-B technique for breading (flour, eggs, bread crumbs), flip them halfway through cooking, and be careful not to cook them too long. Pork is done at 145° F, so as long as you follow that simple guideline, they’ll come out amazing EVERY single time!

Ingredients

I used thicker cut pork chops in this recipe (about 1 inch thick). If using a different cut, you’ll need to adjust the air frying time accordingly. I also chose to use Italian seasoned bread crumbs to add some extra flavor. If you’re using regular bread crumbs, you may want to add additional seasonings.

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • salt & pepper, for seasoning
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

Season the pork chops – lightly season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.

Make 3 separate bowls for dipping – place the flour in one bowl, the beaten eggs in another bowl, and in a third bowl combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.

Bread the pork chops –  dip each pork chop into the flour until completely coated; shake off any excess. Next, dip into the beaten eggs until completely coated. Finally, dip into the bread crumb mixture until completely coated.

Air fry – place pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket (I was able to fit 2 pork chops at a time). Spray pork chops with olive oil using an oil mister (**do NOT use aerosol cooking spray, as it can damage the inside of the basket**). Air fry at 375° F for 10-14 minutes, flipping and misting with olive oil halfway through. Exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the meat.

Garnish & enjoy – garnish with fresh minced parsley, salt, and pepper to taste.

Recipe variations

  • Use panko bread crumbs for an extra crispy coating
  • Add extra seasonings to your bread crumb coating, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika
  • Use bone-in pork chops instead of boneless (increase temperature to 400° F)
  • Omit the breading and substitute a seasoning rub
  • Use thinner cut pork chops (note: they will need less cooking time)
