Chocolate Covered Pretzels are always a delicious treat, and even better when you add Oreos! These White Chocolate Oreo Pretzels are easy to make with just 3 ingredients… and guaranteed to be everyone’s new favorite!
There are some things in life you just can’t get enough of. And for me, chocolate covered pretzels are one of them. They’re such a simple, delicious treat… not to mention completely addictive… and there are so many different ways to do them.
Personally, I’ve always been a fan of pretzels with white chocolate. There’s just something about the salty pretzels with the sweet white chocolate that gets me every time. And it’s no surprise that adding Oreos takes them to the next level!
These White Chocolate Oreo Pretzels have all the salty sweetness of chocolate covered pretzels combined with that Oreo flavor we all know and love. They’re cookies ‘n cream pretzels, and they’re better than milk chocolate OR white chocolate. Because essentially they’re both!
Perfect for the holidays or any day… and SO easy to make!
Ingredients
In recipes that call for melted chocolate, I always opt for candy coating. Since it’s specifically made for melting, it melts evenly without any clumping and always tastes delicious! I also opted for mini pretzels and regular Oreos, but you can mix things up according to your tastes (see “recipe variations” section below).
- 16 ounces white chocolate (I used candy coating)
- 3 cups mini pretzels
- 12 Oreos
Instructions
Crush the Oreos – use a food processor or rolling pin to crush Oreos to desired consistency. I like to leave some larger cookie pieces, but the more finely they’re ground, the easier it is to dip the pretzels.
Melt the white chocolate – on the stovetop or microwave, melt white chocolate over medium-low heat, stirring often.
Combine the white chocolate and Oreos – stir in the crushed Oreos, reserving about 1/3 cup to sprinkle on top (0ptional).
Coat the pretzels – use a fork to dip the pretzels into the white chocolate mixture. Make sure both sides are fully coated.
Top with additional Oreo crumbs – transfer pretzels to wax paper. Sprinkle with additional Oreo crumbs.
Let them dry – Let pretzels dry completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Recipe variations
There are so many fun and easy ways to mix up this recipe and make it your own. Here are some of our favorite ideas:
- Use any of your favorite Oreo flavors
- Dip any size or shape of pretzel
- Use cookies, crackers, or even potato chips in place of pretzels
- Add your favorite flavoring to the mix (be sure it’s oil-based, NOT water-based)
- Add a couple drops of food coloring to the white chocolate
- Stir in mini chocolate chips for extra chocolate flavor
- Drizzle with milk chocolate or decorate with candy sprinkles
Storage tips
Chocolate covered pretzels can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature. Be sure to remove as much air as possible, and don’t store them uncovered as they’ll become stale quickly if you do. If stored properly, they should last at least one month at room temperature. For longer storage, pretzels can be frozen in an airtight container and thawed at room temperature.
