All the flavors of your favorite salad in a deliciously creamy dip! This Chicken Caesar Salad Dip is packed with fresh ingredients and especially delicious with homemade crostini!

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I’m OBSESSED with caesar salad. And not just the original, but caesar salad in all its forms. From Cucumber Caesar Salad to BLT Caesar Salad to Chicken Caesar Smash Tacos… I love it any way I can get it.
I also happen to love a good dip… so this Chicken Caesar Salad Dip was pretty much a no brainer. Made with a creamy caesar base, shredded chicken, romaine lettuce, and a healthy dose of fresh Parmesan… it’s everything you want in a dip. And hearty enough to eat as a meal!
It’s the perfect base for a variety of flavors, like sun dried tomatoes, capers, pesto, or any of your favorite caesar additions. It’s delicious with or without the chicken… and would also be great with crab meat, shrimp, or any of your favorite proteins!

what you’ll need for this recipe
Cream cheese – Cream cheese creates a thick, rich, creamy base for this dip. I used 8 ounces plain cream cheese, softened to room temperature.
Caesar dressing – Caesar dressing adds delicious umami flavor and balances out the thickness of the cream cheese. I used homemade caesar dressing, which I would highly recommend for the MOST delicious flavor.
Chicken – I added one can of chicken breast (12.5 ounces) drained and shredded. Substitute rotisserie chicken or any type of shredded chicken breast, about 3/4 cup – 1 cup or to taste.
Romaine – I added 2 cups of packed, chopped romaine lettuce. Add more or less to taste.
Parmesan – Parmesan cheese is a must in caesar salad, and I used 4 ounces of freshly, finely grated Parmesan. To achieve the extra fine grate, I used a Microplane Zester.
Panko crumbs – I topped the dip with toasted panko crumbs which I toasted in a small amount of butter over medium heat on the stovetop.
Black pepper – I finished the dip off with fresh cracked pepper and a little bit of fresh parsley.

how to make caesar salad dip
Make the base. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and caesar dressing and blend, using a hand mixer, until smooth. Either add the chicken breast and blend with the mixer OR shred the chicken and stir it in by hand. Spread the base into a shallow dish.
Top with “salad.” Top with chopped romaine and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Garnish. Garnish with toasted breadcrumbs and fresh cracked pepper to taste.

Recipe Variations
- Use store bought caesar dressing as a time saver
- Substitute shredded chicken breast or rotisserie chicken
- Use any type of lettuce in place of romaine
- Add croutons or crouton pieces in place of breadcrumbs
- Add chopped tomatoes, bell peppers, or cucumbers
- Add capers for an extra flavor kick

storage tips
Leftover dip can be stored, covered in the refrigerator. It will retain freshness for 2-3 days before the romaine starts to wilt. For longer store or make-ahead instructions, store the base and the toppings separately.
