Rich, creamy Brownie Cheesecake Dip…made with just 3 ingredients!
Do you ever have days that completely change how you are feeling about things? Friday was one of those days for me, and it all started when I woke up. I opened my computer, started my morning coffee, and checked my email…..only to find mention of a surprise baby shower….happening that morning….for ME!! 22 of my blogging besties got together and threw me a shower, something I never would have expected, but actually really needed.
See….I’ve been struggling lately with making time for all the things that are important to me. Not just in real life (although I struggle with that daily) but also in the world of blogging! It feels like there is never enough time to make delicious food AND photograph it AND edit the photos AND write my posts AND fulfill campaign responsibilities AND cover my social media bases…..let alone offer support to all the other awesome bloggers I know.
Now, if you are not a blogger, you may wonder whether it really matters….whether supporting other bloggers is really something that needs to be on my “to do” list. And when I first started blogging, I would have said no! But the longer I do this, the more I understand that other bloggers are like my co-workers….and often, my friends. And that the support they offer me is invaluable! So naturally, I want to offer them the same support, in return. Let’s just say that Friday’s {virtual} baby shower let me know that my blogging friends get it. Although I may NEVER make enough time for them, it’s okay. It’s kind of how life is, I guess….
And the surprise wasn’t over there! No, it continued straight into the night, when a play date with some school friends turned out to be another surprise baby shower….in real life! Once again, I was completely caught off guard (good job on the surprise, guys) and completely overwhelmed. There is no better way to make someone feel loved than by throwing a party in their honor! Now, if I had known about the showers ahead of time, I would definitely have made something to take with me. Something delicious and sweet (and super quick and easy)…..like this Brownie Cheesecake Dip. It’s made with just 3 ingredients (4 if you include chocolate chips) and is perfect for dipping just about anything! The best thing is it leaves you with more time for what ALWAYS matters most: the people!

I know it. I tell people what I do and they’re like, gosh that sounds so easy! Ugg if only they knew! Social media is the biggest time suck for me. But then again, creating a blog post? You have to bake, photograph, edit, write … I am so impressed you do it so well while being an incredible mom!
I’m all about brownies and dips (because there isn’t as much portion control 😉 so this is perfect! Looks so easy and rich!

I’m controlling myself to not lick the screen right now! There is nothing better than brownie batter!!! Love this! And love your post. I’m so very new to blogging still but I know that I wouldn’t even be this far without the help of other bloggers. I love how I can send a message to another blogger to ask them a question and they are always so quick to respond and so kind. This is such a wonderful community to belong to. Time management is my biggest struggle! I’m already late on a post for this week! Seems like a never ending struggle. Making the food at the right time to get the pictures in the right light while scheduling that around naps and school pick ups. Makes my head spin! Good luck to you as you again will be figuring out a schedule with your newest little one arriving soon! So exciting though! Such good problems to have 🙂

I am so bad about commenting on other people’s blogs and sharing as much as I’d like, I just can’t do it all. So please know that I love your blog and I’m not ignoring you, I just suck at time management!! I know what you mean, this blogging community surprises me every day! You deserved the surprise shower (both!). Can’t wait for your little girl to arrive!

I adore desert dips! I wouldn’t need any fruit for this dip. I would just need a big spoon!

Awwww you had a wonderful day! It’s so hard to balance it all, we all get it in life and in virtual blogging land! We are all just doing what we can most days I think! And some days I need a big bowl of dip like this to drown my worries in!
