Creamy Salmon Dip makes an easy & delicious appetizer! Loaded with fresh lemon juice, dill, and a hint of garlic… it comes together in minutes and is delicious with crackers, veggies, or any of your favorite dippers!
When it comes to appetizers, dips are BOSS. They’re easy to make, easy to transport, and always a party favorite.
This Creamy Salmon Dip is one of our all time favorites. Not only is it super creamy and packed with salmon flavor, but it’s one of the easiest recipes EVER! Just 1 bowl, 7 ingredients, and 5 minutes or less is all you need, and you have yourself a satisfying dip that’s sure to be a favorite.
We love eating this dip with crackers or crostini, but you can also serve it with cut vegetables for a healthier option. Best of all, it stores well and can easily be made the day before the party… without affecting the taste or quality!
Ingredients in Salmon Dip
Cream cheese – This recipe calls for 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. I used a brick of plain cream cheese, but you can also substitute your favorite flavor.
Salmon – I used one 5 ounce can of skinless boneless flaked salmon. Canned salmon is also available in a larger “traditional style” can, but I prefer skinless boneless for ease and convenience. If you’re not a fan of canned, you can also substitute any type of cooked salmon.
Mayo – 1/4 cup of mayo makes this dip creamy and delicious, and helps to balance out the flavor of the cream cheese. I used full fat Hellman’s mayo.
Dill – Salmon + dill is always a great combo, so dill is the perfect way to season this recipe. I used 2 teaspoons of fresh dill, but you can substitute 3/4 teaspoon dried dill if you prefer.
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon of lemon juice gives this dip a light, fresh flavor and pairs well with the dill. You can use either fresh or bottled juice.
Garlic powder – 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder adds another layer of flavor to this recipe. If you’re not a fan of garlic, feel free to omit.
Salt – Just a pinch of salt helps bring out all the other flavors.
