I’m convinced it’s impossible to hear the words “orange creamsicle” and not be automatically transported back to childhood. I mean, who didn’t LOVE orange creamsicle popsicles or orange cream ice cream? Especially as a kid!?
Well, this Creamsicle Cocktail tastes just like both… only it’s for adults, not kids. It’s a grown up creamsicle, if you will. The perfect drink for holidays, nights with friends, or anytime you’re feeling a little bit nostalgic.
It’s along the same lines as my Orange Creamsicle Mimosa and my Orange Creamsicle Circus Animal Cookies. Because adults deserve to have fun, too!

what you’ll need for this recipe
Whipped vodka – Whipped vodka is the perfect base for this cocktail. If you’re not familiar with whipped vodka, it’s a whipped cream flavored vodka made by Smirnoff, Pinnacle, and a few other brands. It has a similar flavor to vanilla vodka, but is a bit sweeter and smoother. If you can’t find it, vanilla is a good substitute.
Orange liqueur – Orange Liqueur adds a delicious pop of orange flavor to this drink. I used Grand Marnier, but you could substitute Cointreau or Triple Sec.
Orange juice – In addition to the orange liqueur, I also added fresh orange juice. Feel free to use regular or pulp free based on personal preference.
Half & half – A splash of half & half gives this drink the creaminess it needs. Half & half is essentially half milk, half heavy cream and can be found in the dairy aisle.

Strain & garnish. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with an orange wedge and whipped cream (optional).
what does orange creamsicle taste like?
Orange Creamsicle is a delicious combination of vanilla and orange, made popular by the invention of the creamsicle popsicle in 1905. The creamsicle was invented 11-year-old Frank Epperson, who experimented with putting fruit juice around vanilla ice cream.
