Say hello to your new favorite dessert drink... the Brandy Alexander! A classic cocktail made of brandy, creme de cacao, and cream, it's a simple, delicious drink to end the night!

If you ask me, there are two types of people in the world: those who prefer to eat their dessert and those who prefer to drink it. And for those who prefer to drink it... the Brandy Alexander is the perfect choice.

It's a simple cocktail - made with just 3 ingredients - and has the perfect balance of flavors. I has a hint of chocolate but isn't overly sweet, which makes it ideal for anyone who who's looking for a new favorite after-dinner drink.

It's believed that the Brandy Alexander was invented by a New York bartender named Troy Alexander, who came up with the drink while working as a bartender at famed New York City restaurant Rector’s. A riff on another gin-based cocktail, it quickly gained popularity throughout the city.

It can be made with dark creme de cacao or the lighter variety I used. Either way, it's a delicious classic that's sure to be a favorite! Enjoy!
