Rich, decadent Chocolate Truffles… made with just two ingredients! These delicious little bites are easy to make and fun to decorate with all your favorite toppings. The perfect way to satisfy all your chocolate cravings!
I partnered with Mirum to bring you this recipe, but all opinions are my own.
When it comes to chocolate cravings, there really is no better way to satisfy them than with truffles. They’re rich, creamy, decadent, and delicious… the ultimate chocolate treat!
I first fell in love with them during my childhood, when my parents decided to make them just for fun. I can still remember biting into one and being in absolute heaven. Because they’re not just regular chocolate. They’re next level, melt-in-your-mouth chocolatey goodness. And once you try them… there’s no going back.
The only downside? My frequent heartburn that can sometimes follow. There’s nothing worse than giving into your cravings only to regret it later… (not that it’s going to stop any of us from eating it!) But luckily, there’s a solution: Meijer Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablets.
Meijer Omeprazole ODT is a proactive, daily approach to treating frequent heartburn with strawberry-flavored tablets that dissolve on your tongue without water. It provides 24-hour heartburn relief, which is perfect for frequent heartburn sufferers like me. You just take one dose proactively every 24 hours for up to 14 days, and you can go back to enjoying all your favorite foods. Namely… these Chocolate Truffles!
🥛 Ingredients
My favorite thing about this recipe? It’s made with just 2 ingredients! It truly doesn’t get any easier than that. Be sure to use high quality chocolate bars (60-70% cacao) which can be found in the baking aisle at your grocery store. Also be sure to use heavy whipping cream, not half and half. As for the coatings, feel free to get as creative as you’d like. That’s part of the fun!
- 8 ounces chocolate
- 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- coatings (chopped nuts, candy sprinkles, cocoa powder, melted chocolate)
📋 Instructions
As long as you’re not scared to get your hands dirty, making truffles is really quite simple. Just chop the chocolate, heat the whipping cream, and stir it together to make a ganache. Let the ganache firm up… and you’re ready to roll your truffles!
- Finely chop the chocolate and transfer it to a medium mixing bowl.
- Heat the heavy cream until hot but not boiling; pour over the chocolate and let it stand for 5 minutes.
- Stir the mixture together until smooth. Refrigerate for one hour until firm.
- Using a small cookie scoop, portion the ganache into 2 tablespoon portions and use your hands to roll into truffles. The mixture will be sticky!
- Roll the truffles into your choice of coatings.
- Refrigerate or enjoy immediately.
🌶 Recipe variations
- Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
- Add 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon chili powder for a spicy twist
- Coat truffles in melted chocolate and drizzle with white chocolate
- Add chopped nuts or toffee to the ganache before refrigerating
- Make mini truffles for a truly bite-sized treat
📍 Tips for success
Follow these basic tips for no-fail truffles every time!
- Use high-quality chocolate (60-70% cacao)
- Don’t use chocolate chips, as they won’t melt into truffle consistency
- Use heavy whipping cream (not half and half or any other alternative)
- To save time, pour the ganache into a shallow dish before refrigerating so it can chill more quickly and consistently
- Consider wearing plastic gloves to roll the truffles. The mixture will be quite sticky!
- Press the toppings gently into the truffles so they really stick
🌡 Storage tips
Truffles can be stored at room temperature for 3-4 days or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. If you choose to refrigerate them, be sure to remove them at least 30 minutes before serving for the most optimal flavor.

I made some this weekend and they are ok, I had better (store-bought)They are a little bit too much dark chocolate,I used the 60%, not very sweet at all. I am going to see if I can coat them with milk chocolate, just a little too bitter for use. Thank you for sharing your recipe!
