Fresh Apple Salsa – made with sweet and tart apples, spicy jalapeños, fresh cilantro, and lime juice. A delicious addition to any of your favorite chicken or pork dishes… and delicious with tortilla chips, too!

Fall is in the air, which means it’s time for all things pumpkin… and all things APPLE!
And as much as I love a good apple cake or apple crisp or caramel apple dip… the truth is that apples are delicious in savory recipes, too. Recipes like this Apple Brie Salad or Apple Wedge Salad OR this fresh Apple Salsa!
If you’ve never tried Apple Salsa, it’s a deliciously fresh, crisp combination that works equally well as a topping or as a dip. We love spooning it over Air Fryer Pork Chops or Blackened Chicken, and it’s delicious with tortilla chips or cinnamon sugar pita chips, too!
The key to its deliciousness? The balance of sweet, tart, and spicy that’s in every bite. It’s like a delicious flavor explosion… and a whole new way to enjoy fresh fall apples!
what you’ll need for this recipe
Apples – I used one Gala apple and one Granny Smith apple for this recipe. Substitute Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, Golden Delicious, or any of your favorites.
Onion – Finely chopped red onion adds a hint of spice and extra crunchy texture to the salsa. Substitute sweet onions or green onions if you prefer.
Jalapeño – Fresh minced jalapeño adds spicy heat to the salsa. I used one large jalapeño, but you can use more or less to taste.
Cilantro – Chopped cilantro adds a fresh herbaceous flavor to the recipe. Substitute fresh basil, mint, or parsley if you prefer.
Lime juice – Fresh lime juice adds a hint of citrus and extra tartness, which pairs well with the sweet and tart apples.
Honey – Honey adds a little extra sweetness to the salsa, rounding out the flavors perfectly.
Salt & pepper – A little salt and pepper goes a long way!
