White chocolate, macadamia nuts, and dried cranberries – a classic combination in a crispy bark, finished off with a touch of sea salt. So delicious!
What is it about white chocolate? There’s something about it that I just love…..I love it on its own, in cookies & cream, with peanut butter, as a drizzle…..I love it pretty much any way you can imagine it, and I’m bound and determined to share my love of it with all of you!
Am I alone in my white chocolate fixation? My husband would say YES! To be fair, he doesn’t have much of a sweet tooth to begin with…..but if he’s going to go sweet, he’ll go milk chocolate all the way. Me – not so much. I’ll almost always go for the white!
If I had to guess, I think it has something to do with its sweetness. Because the way I love it best is with something salty – pretzels, peanuts, potato chips….I just love the contrast of something extra salty with something extra sweet….and white chocolate kicks it up a notch!
Which is why I couldn’t resist adding sea salt to the classic white chocolate, cranberry, and macadamia nut combo. Oooh – and Rice Krispies! The end result is something smooth, creamy, crunchy, crispy, salty, and sweet. In a way milk chocolate never could be! It’s amazing, my friends! Are you sold????
- 16 oz. white chocolate (I used Vanilla Candiquik)
- 1 c. Rice Krispies
- ½ c. chopped macadamia nuts
- ½ c. dried cranberries
- ¼ tsp. kosher salt
- Melt white chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly.
- Stir in macadamia nuts, cranberries, and Rice Krispies.
