This Screwdriver Cocktail is sure to be the hit of your next party! Made with just 2 simple ingredients, it’s light, easy, and so refreshing. The perfect addition to any brunch menu!
There’s something about a good brunch cocktail that I absolutely LOVE. I mean… a cocktail that’s socially acceptable to drink for breakfast? Sign me up!
As much as I enjoy the traditional options, like mimosas and Bloody Marys, every now and then I’m in the mood to mix things up. And a Screwdriver is the perfect way to do it! Made with just TWO simple ingredients, it literally couldn’t be faster or easier to make.
Of course, you can always put your own spin on it by using your favorite flavored vodka, adding a splash of Cointreau, or using a combination of citrus juices. No matter how you mix it, it’s still one of the easiest drinks around. Perfect for making by the glass OR by the pitcherful. And guaranteed to be your new go-to cocktail for breakfast or any time of day!
Ingredients in a Screwdriver
You can’t go wrong with a 2-ingredient cocktail… especially when the ingredients are things you’re likely to have on hand. Here’s what you need to make a Screwdriver cocktail:
Vodka – Since it’s one of just 2 ingredients, I’d suggesting using whichever type of vodka you like best. I used Tito’s, but you can substitute Grey Goose, Ketel One, or any of your favorites.
Orange juice – The same goes for the orange juice. Since it’s one of just 2 ingredients, be sure to use something you like! Fresh squeezed is always a favorite, but not a requirement for this drink.
Orange slice – I always love garnishing my drinks to give them a finishing touch. The obvious choice for this drink is a fresh orange slice!
How to make a Screwdriver Drink
Making a Screwdriver couldn’t be easier. Just follow these simple steps and you’ll be all set for your next brunch party:
- Fill a glass with ice
- Add 2 ounces of vodka
- Add 4 ounces of orange juice
- Garnish with an orange slice
*To make a pitcher, simply combine 1 part vodka with 2 parts orange juice (depending on the number of servings you need). Fill individual glasses with ice and pour Screwdrivers as needed!
