Frozen Mango Margaritas are the perfect way to kick off summer!
Made with just 5 simple ingredients, they’re sweet, tangy, and oh so delicious.
Whether you’re a mango lover, a margarita lover, or both…you’ll love this easy, refreshing, fruity twist on a classic!
I don’t know about you, but I’m always on the lookout for new summer cocktail recipes.
Because summer may be short, but the days are long. And crazy! And ending them with a cocktail sometimes feels necessary. Who’s with me!?
Of course, I’m always up for a good margarita (aren’t we all?) and I love mixing things up and trying new flavors. And these? Well, they just might be my new favorite. Not just because I love mango (which I do)…but because they’re so creamy and smooth and refreshing. And made with just 5 ingredients!
I see myself mixing up a pitcher of these mango margaritas for summer cookouts, Taco Tuesdays, and lazy nights with friends. And…..they’re the perfect drink for Cinco de Mayo!
WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE IN THIS RECIPE?
- Mango
- Tequila (I used Reposado)
- Triple sec
- Lime juice
- Simple syrup
WHAT KIND OF MANGO DO YOU USE?
The easiest kind of mango to use in this recipe is frozen, cubed mango, which can be found in the freezer section at your local grocery store. You can also cut fresh mango and freeze it OR use fresh mango and add some ice to thicken it.
WHAT KIND OF TEQUILA DO YOU USE?
Silver or blanco tequila is most commonly used for margaritas. This tequila is “young” and has a stronger flavor that mixes well. You can also use reposado tequila for a smoother taste.
WHAT IF YOU WANT A SWEETER MARGARITA?
You can add sweetness to this recipe by adding extra simple syrup or triple sec.
DO YOU USE ICE IN THIS RECIPE?
This recipe doesn’t specifically call for ice, but you can feel free to add some if you’d like. Adding ice will give the margaritas an extra layer of coldness and will also help tone down some of the sweetness and/or strength of the cocktail.
WHAT FOODS GO WELL WITH MANGO MARGARITAS?
