This Ham & Pear Panini is packed with ham, swiss, and fresh pears, then slathered in a delicious maple dijon mayo and grilled to perfection!
Blogging is a little bit like grocery shopping. You really shouldn’t do either when you’re hungry. Now, I know this. And I’ve been reminded of it time after time! But do I follow it? Not at all.
No, I am like the prime example of someone who goes to the store for one thing and leaves with 37. Because they were on sale, or they inspired a last minute recipe creation, or they just looked SO good. And then I come home to an already packed fridge and have to somehow make space for an entire fridge-full we didn’t actually need…..
And, truth be told, the exact same can be said for blogging. I can’t tell you the number of times I planned to take “just a bite” for quality control….and somehow ended up finishing off the whole plate! Case in point: this Ham & Pear Panini. I went in for a bite, and the next thing I knew, I was licking up the remnants of maple dijon mayo and wishing I could start it all over again. It was THAT good.
The good news? I thought ahead. And made triple the maple dijon mayo! So I can have this sandwich at least two more times before I need to make more. The other good news? I polished it off at lunchtime. So there is actually zero regret involved. Which let’s just say is not always (or ever, usually) the case.
Ham & Pear Panini
- 2 pieces bread
- 5-6 thin slices deli ham
- 2 slices swiss cheese
- 1/2 pear thinly sliced
- For maple dijon mayo:
- 2 Tbsp. mayo
- 1/2 Tbsp. dijon mustard
- 1/2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- Assemble sandwich and top with maple dijon mayo.
- Grill on a panini press or griddle.
