This Ginger Sesame Snack Mix combines the delicious flavors of sesame and ginger with roasted almonds, wasabi peas, salted peanuts, and dried cranberries. An unexpected blend of savory and sweet, this snack mix is bold, crunchy, and so addictive!
Do you ever just have those days when you can’t. stop. snacking!?!? I feel like it’s a perpetual issue over here…and not just with me! More often than not, at least one person in our house is complaining about being hungry, or raiding the refrigerator, or scavenging through the pantry, or actually in the middle of polishing off a snack. And honestly? I sometimes feel like I can’t keep up!
Because here’s the thing. Not only does everyone seem to be constantly in search of something to eat, but they also seem to be increasingly choosy about what that something might be. There are days I can name 10 things without so much as a bite. Not even a bite!!! No wonder I feel like I can’t keep up!
Now, I’ll admit….I may be stuck in a tiny bit of a snack purchasing rut. As in I pretty much buy the same things every time I’m at the grocery store, which pretty much consists of fruits, veggies, yogurt, string cheese, and maybe something salty from the snack aisle. But to be honest, I’m choosy, too! And I don’t want our pantry to be full of just anything…..
But every now and then I discover something new. Something I can feel good about. Like these Soy Vay Popped Rice Clusters! I’ve only known Soy Vay for their sauces and marinades, but these new Popped Rice Clusters are seriously awesome. They come in three flavors – Spicy ‘n Sweet, Ginger ‘n Sesame and Thai Style Peanut – and they’re made with non-GMO, high quality ingredients and no artificial flavors or high fructose corn syrup.
I can’t even tell you which was my favorite (I really loved them all, and they’re delicious all on their own), but I knew right away that the Ginger ‘n Sesame flavor would be the perfect base for this savory & sweet snack mix. And IT WAS!!! I love the balance of salt/crunch/sweet/spice/zing that results, and I love the fact that the possibilities for these are endless! No more snack rut for us. We’re good to go!
