Fresh Brioche Rolls, cubed, fried, and dusted with powdered sugar and sprinkles. A perfectly simple, delicious treat for birthdays or any days!
Well, friends…..I’m officially another year older. Yesterday was my birthday, and yes, we celebrated! Between our trip to the water park, a family celebration at my parents’ house, dinner and drinks with friends, an unexpected visit from my sister, Thai take-out, and plenty of phone calls, emails, texts, and fun presents……we celebrated!!
I love birthdays…..and I actually think I love them more the older I get. Don’t get me wrong – the celebrations are not what they once were, and they often leave a bit to be desired, but I find myself appreciating the little things a LOT more because of it!
The texts, the phone calls, the heartfelt cards, the bottle of wine, the little gifts that were hand picked just for me……they are all I need for my birthday to feel absolutely perfect. (Okay, a few moments to myself would be a dream come true, but I think that’s a little too much to ask at this point in the game!)
The truth, is I am blessed. In so many ways, big and small. And when I woke up yesterday morning, I just knew that there was so much to celebrate! I was in the mood for donuts, but with Myla sleeping and Nora unwilling to change out of her jammies, I came up with the next best thing. Bronut Bites! So simple, so quick, and SO delicious! The perfect little birthday treat that left nothing at all to be desired.
