Let’s be honest. You can’t beat a deliciously gooey, hot, cheesy dip. They’re a staple at parties everywhere… and the perfect appetizer for feeding a crowd. And when that dip is made with just 3 ingredients? Why would it NOT be your favorite?!

This Sweet Vidalia Onion Dip is exactly that. A gooey, melty, cheesy dip – made with just 3 ingredients – that’s destined to be your new go-to. Not only does it come together in minutes with almost zero prep, but the flavor is so amazing it’s hard to believe it can really be THAT easy!

Between the sweet onions and the creamy mayo and the buttery Swiss cheese, it’s a melt in your mouth kind of dip that may or may not be completely 100% addictive. So be forewarned. This stuff is GOOD.

🧀 Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced Vidalia onion
  • 2 cups Swiss cheese
  • 2 cups mayo

📋 Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Mix well.
  2. Spoon into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  3. Bake at 400° F for 30 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
  4. Serve with crackers, rye chips, crostini, or veggies.

🌱 Recipe variations

  • Add 1 -2 tablespoons of fresh minced herbs
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or a couple dashes of your favorite hot sauce
  • Add 1 tsp. mustard powder for extra flavor
  • Use a combination of Swiss & Parmesan cheeses
  • Add 1/2 pound cooked bacon

♨️ Storing & reheating

Leftover dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. To reheat, transfer to an oven-safe baking dish and bake, covered, at 350° for about 15 minutes, until hot.
