Tropical Sangria combines sweet white wine with tropical fruits and fruit juices! Perfect sangria recipe for summer – it’s like a mini vacation in a glass!

Let’s get right down to business. This tropical SANGRIA recipe! If there’s one thing you should know about me (and probably do by now), it’s that I love a good sangria. Especially in summer! There’s just something about it – the sweetness, the fresh fruit, the endless possibilities…..yes, sangria and I are good friends.
I’ve made plenty of pitchers of it over the years, and of course I have my favorites. Like my Citrus Sangria, my Plum Sangria, my Lemon Blackberry Sangria, and most definitely my Strawberry Shortcake Sangria. And, of course, you can never go wrong with Classic Red Sangria, amiright? But this Tropical White Wine Sangria. It’s the BEST! A game changer, you guys!
It’s the only sangria I’ve made that literally transports you. Takes you away. Makes you feel like you’re somewhere else….somewhere warm….somewhere TROPICAL! Which means it perfect, not just for summer, but for all year round. Because we could all use a little more of the tropics in our lives, don’t you think?
Fresh Tropical Sangria Ingredients
This tropical sangria recipe starts with sweet white wine and then we add:
- Malibu rum
- orange juice
- pineapple juice
- ALL of the tropical fruits
This easy summer sangria takes just 5 minutes to make, gets better with time, and is definitely a “love at first sip” kind of drink. Best of all, it’s SO easy! Perfect for summer parties, cookouts, or drinks with friends on the patio. A vacation in a glass, if you will. (And I really hope you will!) Cheers!
Serving Suggestion:
Serve the tropical sangria up with some tropical foods like coconut shrimp with mango dipping sauce, or maybe some chips and fresh tropical fruit salsa.

Sangria always looks so beautiful but I have yet to try making my own! I love the tropical flavours going on here!
thank you!
Gorgeous! And, I’m thinking this would be perfect for Mother’s Day!
This sangria is absolutely beautiful, Cathy. It’s been so warm here in Houston, we’ll be spending Mother’s Day out by the pool and this would be lovely to serve.
Enjoy!
You are my source for all beautiful easy cocktails! I can’t wait to try these this Summer!
thanks!
This recipe looks delicious! Question….I am not a sweet wine drinker. How strong is the wine flavor? Thanks!
In that case, I would use a dryer wine, like a brut sparkling!
Trying to make this into a big 3.5 gallon container. How many times should I double this recipe?
Did you figure it out? If so please share! I’m making a big batch tomorrow and not sure of ratios
I doubled it in a pitcher about that size.
thanks for sharing such a soulful & delicious recipe. i will try it today. i hope you will also like my blog about india tourism & vegetarian recipes. here it’s link foodtravelindia.com
This was a huge hit at our party. Thank you
Great to hear! Cheers!
How long in the fridge would this last? Couple days at most? It looks delish and i can’t wait to try it.
I would say it lasts 2-3 days. Hope this helps!
The ingredients call for 3/4 cup or a “small can” of pineapple juice. Are you using a can of frozen juice?? Not completely clear.
It is the small can out of the 6 pack you buy at the supermarket (just like the small cans of tomato juice in the six pack) on the supermarket shelves with the juices like tomato, cranberry, etc.
Yes! thats exactly what I meant.
not frozen, one of the smaller cans that comes in a pack of 6 or 8.
Should I make it the night before I have a party or right before the party starts? Thank you in advance.
Taylor
Did you get your answer? I was wondering how far in advance can I make this? 3 or 4 hours, or longer?
it’s probably too late for you, but better to make it 24 hours in advance,
I made it twice this summer and I doubled the recipe (I brought it to large parties, lots of people to share with!) it made almost a gallon.
The first time I made it about 3 hours prior to the party and it was delicious! Very fresh, pretty and you can taste all of the different fruit flavors.
The second time I made it the day prior to serving, and the fruit colors dulled, and kind of blended together. The fruits all tasted the same. Still delicious, but not as crisp, pretty or fresh. Also the 2nd time, my hockey mom friends passed out drunk by 9pm unlike the first batch LOL!! I would stick with the 3-4 hours prior to serving! Cheers 🙂
Yes can you share Thank you
Yes, a few hours in advance would be fine.
I would prep the fruit, cut it all up and add it a couple hours before, then add the sparkling wine, prosecco, or what ever you choose, right before serving.
How to make this in a virgin option without alcohol
Substitute the wine for white grape juice, & skip the rum.
Refreshing!
I was raised on a farm in central Texas and we had wild Mustang Grapes. Every year Momma picked grapes and made them into grape juice, jelly and wine. So my taste for wine is the Wild Mustang Grapes. I am not much of a wine drinker. My taste buds only liked Mustang Wine. Does anyone know another wine that is very similar to Mustang Grape Wine? All reply’s are appreciated.
Muscadine wine.
From what I understand, Mustang grapes are very dry and bitter. I would try a dry red Cabernet to compare? Some cabs can be juicy and sweeter, but some have more tannins and tend to be dry.
Can a reisling be used instead of sweet wine?
Sure! or Prosecco even!
I Have an Alergy to rum, has anyone tried vodka?
Thank you
What size bottle of Moscato to the rest of the ingredients
Did you ever get a reply for this question lol? I was wondering the same thing. 🙂
750 ml bottle
750 ml Bottle
This is delish! Made multiple pitchers for the dinner party and it was a hit.
Did you use moscato?
Prosecco! or if you don’t want sparkling you could also use a pinot grigio
Can Barefoot Moscato deliciously sweet be used vs Barefoot Moscato Spritzer OR Barefoot Crisp White Spritzer,
Sure!
What are you poring in the glass after you put some of the sangria mixture in there. I love coconut rum with pineapple and a splash of banana liquor. I think I would really love this. Although I have a problem with orange juice with my stomach
Any answer on this. Would like to make tomorrow
I make this all the time watching sunsets on the lanai over the ocean here in Hawaii. I like a crisp white Barefoot Spritzer with a Spanish Torrontes wine and fresh white pineapple, honey tangerines, lemon, lime and some starfruit all grown right on my property over the ocean. Aloha!
Sounds amazing! Perfect for a sunset in Hawaii!
This sangria looks so refreshing and delicious! Will definitely make it soon 🙂
What size bottle of Moscato should I use for this?
750ml size, you could also use prosecco!
750 ml bottle
This is FANTASTIC! Just whipped up a double batch for games night with friends this evening and I cant wait to get into it. Smells, looks, and tastes amazing.
Thanks! Enjoy!

Do you use Barefoot Moscato Spritzer instead if the bottle of white wine?
Prosecco!
Made this for a surprise party Friday night… huge hit with everyone! Thanks for the Winner Recipe!!
What size spritzer do you use or can you use sprite and how much? Thank you
I used a 750ml bottle.
Yay! Glad it was a hit!
I’m allergic to citrus, what could I substitute??
you could try a mango juice? maybe mix with a berry/grape juice?
What flavor of Malibu rum do you use?
Looks delish. Anyone try it with grapefruit juice instead or orange juice?
This is absolutely the best! Made it yesterday for a pool party in our 95 degree weather. Everyone loved it. This will be on my summer party menu going forward! Thank you!
Awesome!
I made this for a party last night, and it was absolutely delicious! I was unsure about the Malibu Rum once I found it’s coconut flavored, but it totally made the difference between good and ohmygoshthisisincredible! I made 3 pitchers and have 1/2 of one leftover, so I plan to enjoy the rest by the pool today. Thanks for sharing!
Fun! Yes, Malibu is super delish because of the coconut!
