One of the things I miss most about being a kid is the way the holidays always felt. Special. Magical. Fun. And not just because of the presents, but because of the entire season. The tree, the music, the lights, the cookies, the TV specials, the snow, and…of course…the parties!

I’m not sure why…(I’m guessing we really didn’t go to that many parties)…but for some reason, it’s the parties that really stand out to me. Can you blame me? Because when you’re a kid, all you have to do is show up, eat too many treats, drink too much punch, and play the night away. Usually until way past your bedtime. I mean….does it get any better than that? I think not.

Well, some things never change. Because if you ask me today what I love most about the holidays, I’d definitely tell you THE PARTIES! Not that they feel quite as simple or magical as they did back then, but they still always feel worth it. And when I think back to how much I loved them as a kid, it makes me want to have them more often! So my kids can have all the same fun memories of them that I do.

And what better way to create holiday party memories than with this fun Holiday Veggie Tray? My kids fell in love with this the moment they saw it, and I can guarantee it will be the hit of our next party. And honestly? It was so simple to make! I just layered our favorite green veggies to make the tree, then gave it a carrot trunk and a yellow pepper star, and voila! A simple, beautiful, and oh-so-fun Holiday Veggie Tray!

Ingredients

• 1 large cucumber cut into thin strips
• 2 green peppers sliced
• 3 c. broccoli florets
• 2 c. sugar snap peas
• 2 celery stalks thinly sliced
• 3 carrot sticks
• yellow pepper star
• 1 small head cauliflower

Instructions

• Use a large rectangular platter or line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
• Create tree as pictured, starting with cucumber slices at the bottom and ending with celery slices at the top.
• Add the carrot trunk and yellow pepper star.
• Surround with cauliflower.
• Serve with your favorite Marzetti® Veggie Dip!
