Hosting a Hawaiian Luau cookout with Ball Park Park’s Finest hot dogs and a 4-ingredient Mai Tai Mocktail recipe!
It struck me this past weekend that we are halfway through summer. Halfway! Boy, does time fly when it’s warm outside. To be honest, I have mixed feelings about it. Part of me can’t believe we’re already at this point….(WHERE did the time go!?) and the other part of me is so glad we’re already at this point! Because even though I start every summer with high hopes and big plans, it only takes a short while to be brought back down to the reality that summer is hard!
I don’t need to go into all the reasons why summer with kids is hard, but let’s just suffice it to say that by the time the weekend rolls around, I have one thing and one thing only on my mind: GRILLING! I love summer grilling for the fun and the relaxation and the way it brings people together. And I especially love it when it’s easy! After all, isn’t easy what summer is all about?
I recently had the chance to try Ball Park Park’s Finest hot dogs, and it turns out they’re EXACTLY what my summer needs. Easy, delicious, and a little bit special (these are not just your ordinary hot dogs, people!). They’re perfect for weekend grilling, get togethers with neighbors and friends, and definitely your next party! Hawaiian Luau, anyone??
I have to admit – I have a thing for luau parties and I’m actually a little giddy about how much sense this makes. These hot dogs are the ideal base for any number of topping combinations. Just fire up the grill, set out a few delicious sides and drinks, throw in some leis, ask everyone to bring their favorite Hawaiian topping, and you’ve got yourself a mighty fine little luau. Speaking of drinks, no luau is complete without Mai Tais (right?), so I whipped up an easy 4-ingredient Mai Tai Mocktail recipe that the whole family can enjoy. And….speaking of firing up the grill…..
On August 13 in New York City, Ball Park and a team of grill masters will attempt to break the world record for the longest running group BBQ at The Finest Grillathon using Ball Park Park’s Finest hot dogs. And they’re offering YOU the chance to win a trip for two to be there, AND a spot on the team of grill masters! Say what!? That’s right – just submit a video that shows your creativity, grilling passion, and poise, and you could be chosen to help break the world record. Think you have what it takes? Click HERE to enter!
And in the mean time, you better get grilling. After all, practice makes perfect! And summer? Well, it’s halfway over!
