HOW DO YOU MAKE GRAPEFRUIT MARGARITAS?
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add tequila, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, lime juice, and ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a margarita glass rimmed with salt (optional).
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
WHAT KIND OF GRAPEFRUIT JUICE IS BEST FOR GRAPEFRUIT MARGARITAS?
I used Ruby Red Original in this recipe. You can also use Ruby Red 100% Juice OR regular grapefruit juice, but you may need to adjust the amount of simple syrup to make up for the difference in sweetness.
WHAT KIND OF TEQUILA IS BEST IN MARGARITAS?
I used silver tequila in this recipe because silver tequila is the most mild in flavor and allows the other flavors to shine through. You could also use gold or anejo tequila, but it will yield a slightly different flavor.
