S’mores Popcorn and Fruit Shoot juice drinks – 2 simple ways to celebrate childhood and let kids just be kids!
I partnered with Fruit Shoot® to bring you this post, but all ideas and opinions are my own!
It’s interesting how, as a parent, there are certain things you LOVE doing with your kids….and certain things you just can’t force yourself to enjoy. Ever. Crawling around on the floor playing “Lion” with Ellia? No, thank you. Barbie? Not my cup of tea. And don’t even get me started on taking them swimming….I just can’t handle the stress of 4 kids near water! No matter how many times I try!
But. When my kids ask me to read to them? The answer will always be yes. When they need help with puzzles? I’m totally in. And any time they want to do something creative….like drawing or painting or sidewalk chalk or building a fairy house or pulling out ALL the arts and crafts they can find….well, I’m completely on board. Even if it means that a HUGE mess will follow.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the creative stuff is the stuff I enjoy, too. But I also just love the idea of my kids being allowed to be kids. And to make messes. And to let their creativity shine. So we are regularly sweeping up glitter and sequins and tiny little pieces of paper. We often have marker on our hands and paint on our shirts….and the kitchen table? Well, it’s more of an art table at this point. And I’m totally fine with that.
Of course, like every other kid, my kids are constantly hungry and thirsty and in search of the perfect “fuel” to help them with their projects. So when I discovered Fruit Shoot®, let’s just say I was more than thrilled. Because I instantly knew how much they’d love it. And how much I’d love it, too!
Because Fruit Shoot® is made with real fruit juice, no artificial flavors, and no high fructose corn syrup. Already a win, right? And there are varieties made with real sugar, as well as no sugar added. My kids loved the great flavor and the individual little bottles….which fit perfectly in their little hands. And with the re-sealable sports cap, there’s no spilling involved.
They have big plans of bringing Fruit Shoot® everywhere…..to soccer and piano lessons and bike rides and Girl Scout events. And I really can’t blame them! A delicious little juice bottle that’s completely portable and all your own? Yes, please!
Meanwhile, I have big plans to keep a stash here for movie nights and fort building and art days. Because they’re perfect for all of it. They’re perfect for kids! Of course, no drink is complete without the perfect snack to go with it…which is where this S’mores Popcorn comes in. It couldn’t be easier to make – just a handful of ingredients, and ready in 5 minutes or less. And just like Fruit Shoot®, this S’mores Popcorn is completely portable! Which makes it ideal for all the many activities our kids are involved in.
But what I love most about this S’mores Popcorn? It celebrates childhood. Just like Fruit Shoot®. And if you ask me, we should be celebrating our kids in as many ways as we can! No matter what they love to do…..or how big of a mess it makes. So what about you? What do your kids LOVE to do? Leave a comment below for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card!
