Rich, creamy Marry Me Chicken – made in one pan and packed with amazing flavor! This recipe features sun dried tomatoes, shaved Parmesan, and fresh basil in a deliciously creamy sauce you’ll want to eat straight from the spoon!

So. Have you heard of Marry Me Chicken? It’s a recipe I’ve been seeing literally everywhere, all over the internet, for years now… and every time I’ve seen it I’ve wanted it!
So naturally, I decided it was time to give it a try. And my only question is why didn’t I try it sooner??
Because it turns out that Marry Me Chicken doesn’t just look delicious… it IS delicious. Almost like a sun dried tomato Alfredo sauce that’s just as easy but packs SO MUCH FLAVOR.
What I love about this recipe is that it’s made in one pan for easy cleanup, it has a relatively short ingredient list, and every single ingredient adds tons of flavor. Between the sun dried tomatoes and the Parmesan and the basil… we’re talking a delicious burst of flavor in every single bite.
It’s delicious over pasta or mashed potatoes or risotto, and it’s equally delicious all on its own. It’s like a choose your own adventure… and you literally can’t go wrong.

what you’ll need for this recipe
Chicken – Chicken is the main protein in this recipe. I used 3 large chicken breasts, cut in half lengthwise. Substitute thin cut chicken breasts or chicken cutlets if you prefer.
Butter & oil – Butter & oil are used for cooking the chicken. I used 2 Tablespoons salted butter and 2 Tablespoons of oil from the jar of sun dried tomatoes for extra flavor. Feel free to substitute olive oil.
Garlic – I added 4 cloves of minced garlic to the sauce. As always, use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
Chicken broth – Chicken broth or stock helps thin out the sauce a bit. I used 1 cup of broth. Substitute bone broth for added protein.
Heavy cream – 1 cup of heavy cream adds richness and creaminess to the sauce. I used 1 cup heavy cream, also know as heavy whipping cream.
Parmesan – 3/4 cup shaved or shredded Parmesan adds delicious flavor to the sauce. For the best results, buy a wedge and shave/shred it instead of buying pre-shredded.
Seasonings – Between the sun dried tomatoes and the Parmesan, the need for extra seasonings is minimal. I used 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning and 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes. I also added about 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper.
Basil – Fresh basil adds yet another layer of flavor and pairs well with the sun dried tomatoes and Parmesan.
