I don’t know about you… but there are times when I NEED a chocolate fix. And yes, I could bake a cake… or a pan of brownies… or maybe a batch of cookies. But most often, when I need chocolate, I need it right away.

They’re ready in just 5 minutes, they require no actual baking skills, and the best part of all? You don’t have to share!
This recipe was made for an extra large mug (you know – to satisfy an extra large craving) but it can also be divided in half or split into two separate mugs. The bottom line is… no matter what size your craving is… I’ve got you covered!

🍫 Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. salted butter
- 1/4 c. chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 c. all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
📋 Instructions
- Combine butter and chocolate chips in a large mug.
- Microwave on high power for 30 seconds; remove from microwave and stir until completely melted.
- Add eggs, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla. Stir well.
- Add flour and baking powder and stir until completely incorporated.
- Microwave on high power for 1 minute. Stop microwave and stir, reaching spoon all the way to the bottom of the mug.
- Microwave 30 more seconds, then stop microwave and microwave 15-30 seconds more.
- Top with a handful of chocolate chips and whipped cream as desired.

- Add additional chocolate chips to batter before baking
- Add chopped walnuts, pecans, or peanuts
- Add a spoonful of peanut butter to the mug before baking

Leftover mug cake can be stored, covered, at room temperature for up to 1 day. To reheat, place it in the microwave for 15-30 seconds, just until warm.
