We’re officially in our last week of the school year….and let’s just say I’ve been savoring every last moment of it. Because once summer break starts? It’s all over for me.
Yes, once the kids are home for the summer, my schedule consists of driving, play dates, summer school, afternoons at the pool, zoo days, picnics, sleepovers, and lots of time away from home.
And to be honest, when you have 4 kids and multiple activities and beautiful summer weather….who really wants to be stuck at home, anyway? Right? (Is my pep talk working?) I’m really trying.
At the very least, I HAVE to be prepared for it. If I pretty much know we won’t be home all day…well…we’re going to need back up. And lots of it. In the form of snacks!!
And I’m not just talking a bag of popcorn and some juice boxes. I’m talking about satisfying snacks that will take us through the day. Snacks that can double as lunch. Snacks that will keep us all…..happy!
Like these 3 Easy Tortilla Pinwheels, you basically have yourself a snack and a meal all in one.
When it comes to pinwheels, the possibilities are literally endless. We’ve made Bacon Cheddar Ranch Pinwheels and Spinach Goat Cheese Sun Dried Tomato Pinwheels, just to name a few, and I honestly feel like I’ve never met one I didn’t like.
But what I really love about these 3 easy tortilla pinwheels recipes is that they’re each made with just four ingredients. And, speaking of protein, they’re all protein-packed, too!
Whether you prefer turkey/cucumber/cream cheese or hummus/spinach/red pepper or guacamole/chicken/pepper jack….there’s something for everyone. And I honestly couldn’t even tell you which one I like best because they’re all so flavorful!
They’re the perfect savory snack to go and they’re ideal for busy days on the go. Summer break – here we come! We’re READY for you!
