Sesame Broccoli

Roasted broccoli infused with the delicious flavor of sesame oil! This easy Sesame Broccoli is packed with flavor and makes the perfect side dish for any meal!

Ingredients

  • 8 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • crushed red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Chop broccoli into evenly sized florets (about 2 inches).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli, oils, and seasonings. Toss well until evenly coated.
  • Spread the coated broccoli in a single layer on a large rimmed baking sheet. Roast at 400° for 15-20 minutes, tossing halfway through.
  • Remove from oven and garnish with sesame seeds and red pepper flakes. *You may also drizzle it with a small amount of additional sesame oil if you desire.

Notes

Recipe variations

  • Use a combination of broccoli and cauliflower
  • Add additional vegetables to the broccoli, such as onions or mushrooms
  • Add additional seasonings, such as cayenne pepper, onion powder, or garlic powder
  • Roast for less or more time until you reach desired tenderness
  • Omit the red pepper flakes
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as honey mustard or sriracha
