Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar divided
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water.
  • Bring to a simmer, stirring, until sugar dissolves.
  • Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  • Pour fresh cranberries into a medium bowl; pour sugar water over cranberries.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Strain cranberries and roll in remaining 1 cup sugar to coat.
  • Spread cranberries in a single layer to dry.
  • Perfect for snacking, garnishing drinks, or topping desserts.
