Streusel Topping

This easy streusel topping is made with just 4 ingredients and is our favorite way to top quick breads, cakes, and muffins. It's a deliciously sweet, crunchy crumb topping that's also delicious baked on its own and sprinkled on top of ice cream or yogurt!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup quick oats

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Using a fork, mix until large crumb form.
  • Sprinkle over muffins, breads, or cakes before baking.

Notes

You can also bake streusel and use it as a topping for ice cream, yogurt, or fruit. Simply prepare the recipe according to the instructions, then spread it evenly on a rimmed baking sheet and bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes.
