- 1 package 12 count sandwich rolls
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 pound sliced deli turkey
- 6 slices colby jack cheese
- 6 pieces bacon cooked and crumbled
- 1 large jalapeño diced
- 1 stick 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Separate rolls and slice in half.
Spread each roll with 1 teaspoon cream cheese, then fill with turkey, 1/2 slice cheese, bacon, and chopped jalapeños.
Place prepared sandwiches in 9x13 inch pan.
In a small saucepan, melt butter and spices over low heat. Pour melted butter mixture over sandwiches in pan.
Top with panko bread crumbs.
Bake for 20 minutes or until bread crumbs are golden brown and sandwiches are heated through.
RECIPE VARIATIONS
- Use any variety of small sandwich rolls
- Substitute your favorite flavored cream cheese, such as jalapeño, garlic & herb, or garden vegetable
- Use cheddar, Monterey Jack, Swiss, or any kind of cheese you enjoy
- Substitute jarred (pickled) jalapeños for fresh
- Add additional jalapeños for extra heat
- Add strawberry, raspberry or blackberry jam for a spicy + sweet combo
