Hawaiian Mimosa

Hawaiian Mimosas are a fun twist on a classic! Made with pineapple juice, Malibu rum, and a splash of grenadine, they look just like a Hawaiian sunset....in a glass!

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 ounce Malibu
  • 3 ounces Brut champagne
  • .5 ounces grenadine
  • 1 pineapple wedge
  • 1 maraschino cherry

Instructions

  • Pour 3 ounces chilled pineapple juice into a champagne flute or wine glass.
  • Add 1 ounce Malibu.
  • Top with 3 ounces chilled champagne.
  • Carefully pour .5 ounce of grenadine along the edge of the glass for a layered effect. Do not mix!
  • Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry.

  • Use any variety of sparkling wine, adjusting the sweetness level according to your tastes
  • Use a pineapple juice blend
  • Substitute orange juice for a more traditional twist on a mimosa
  • Use any brand of coconut rum
  • Substitute coconut flavored vodka or liqueur
  • Garnish with canned pineapple rings or chunks for ease and convenience
