Garlic Roasted Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 Tablespoons parmesan cheese grated
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400° F.
  • Trim asparagus; spread onto rimmed baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Drizzle over asparagus.
  • Roast 10-15 minutes, until tender-crisp.

Notes

Recipe Variations

  • Cut the asparagus in pieces for even quicker roasting (and easier eating!)
  • Substitute garlic powder or minced dried garlic for the fresh garlic
  • Add additional seasonings, such as onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, lemon pepper, thyme or any of your favorites
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten up the flavor
  • Add fresh shaved Parmesan after roasting
  • Sprinkle with fresh herbs after roasting
  • Add cooked, crumbled bacon for a smoky, meaty twist
