Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh sliced strawberries

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl; fold in fresh strawberries.
  • Pour into greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 55-65 minutes or until top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool slightly, then loosen sides of loaf from pan and remove to wire rack to cool completely.
