Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 ounces shredded cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375° F.
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Remove from heat; stir in cheese. Let stand 2-3 minutes.
  • Add sour cream, flour, baking powder, and salt and stir until combined.
  • Drop into 24 lightly greased muffin cups.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Recipe Variations

  • Use any variety of shredded cheese
  • Add chopped onions or jalapeños
  • Add cooked, chopped bacon and maple syrup
  • Top them with everything bagel seasoning before baking
  • Add fresh minced herbs
  • Use half whole wheat flour, half all purpose flour
