Ingredients

  • 6 jalapeño peppers
  • 6 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheese I used colby jack
  • 4 slices bacon cooked & crumbled
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon panko bread crumbs

Instructions

  • Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and garlic salt and mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.
  • Divide the cream cheese mixture evenly among the pepper halves. Sprinkle additional cheese on top. Top with crumbled bacon and panko bread crumbs.
  • Place the poppers in the air fryer basket and air fry at 350° F for 5 minutes, until cheese is melted. Top with sliced green onions and serve with ranch dressing.

Notes

Recipe variations:
  • Leave some seeds in the jalapeños for more spice
  • Use flavored cream cheese such as jalapeño, garden vegetable, or chive & onion
  • Add cayenne pepper, chipotle chili powder, onion powder, or any of your favorite seasonings to the cream cheese mixture
  • Add 4 pieces chopped, cooked bacon in the cream cheese mixture
  • Substitute cooked, crumbled sausage for the bacon
  • Add extra panko bread crumbs for more crunch
