Waldorf Salad

Waldorf Salad is a classic salad that makes a delicious light lunch or appetizer. Made with a simple combination of apples, celery, walnuts, and grapes in a creamy dressing, it's deliciously light yet oh so satisfying. The perfect salad for summer picnics or cookouts!

Ingredients

  • 2 c. apples chopped
  • 1/3 c. green grapes halved
  • 1/4 c. celery chopped
  • 1/4 c. walnuts chopped
  • 1/4 c. craisins
  • 1/3 c. heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 c. mayo
  • 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine chopped apples with lemon juice; toss to coat. (*This will help prevent browning.)
  • Mix in grapes, celery, walnuts, and craisins.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, whip heavy whipping cream on medium speed until peaks form. Add 1 tsp. brown sugar and stir to combine.
  • Stir in mayo and nutmeg.
  • Fold dressing into apple mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  • Chill for 2 hours.
