Cherry Lemon Bars

  • 1 ½ c. flour
  • ¾ c. cold butter
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • c. powdered sugar


  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. granulated sugar + ¼ c. flour
  • ¼ c. lemon juice
  • 1 can cherry pie filling


  1. Combine flour, salt & powdered sugar in a medium mixing bowl. Cut in butter with a fork or pastry blender until butter is incorporated and mixture is crumbly.
  2. Press firmly into greased 9x13 inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes. Remove from oven.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat eggs well.
  5. Add sugar/flour mixture and continue beating.
  6. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  7. Pour over crust; bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until top is just beginning to turn golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  9. Before serving, top with cherry pie filling.
