Ingredients

fresh mint leaves
slapped
2
ounces
white rum
2
ounces
sparkling water
I used lime
1
ounce
raspberry simple syrup
see recipe below
fresh mint and raspberries
for garnish
Instructions
Prepare raspberry simple syrup by combining water and sugar in a small saucepan.
Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and add raspberries.
Muddle raspberries until no large pieces remain.
Set aside to cool, then strain.
In a cocktail glass, gently muddle mint leaves.
Add rum, sparkling water, and raspberry simple syrup.
Stir, then top with ice and garnish with mint sprigs and fresh raspberries.

Raspberry Simple Syrup Recipe:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup fresh raspberries
