Ingredients
16
ounces
cream cheese
softened to room temperature
2
cups
finely shredded cheddar cheese
1
package dry ranch dressing mix
2/3
cups
beer
I used Spotted Cow
1/2
cup
bacon
cooked and crumbled
2
Tablespoons
sliced green onions
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing mix, and beer.
Use a hand mixer to mix until smooth and creamy.
Stir in cooked bacon and green onions, reserving some for garnish.
Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with remaining green onions.
Notes
Recipe variations:
Omit the bacon - the recipe is delicious even without it!
Add 1 cup cooked, chopped chicken
Use fresh minced chives in place of green onions
Substitute any of your favorite kinds of beer
Use Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, or any type of cheese
Serve with veggies, crackers, or crusty bread in place of pretzels
