Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup hot sauce I used Frank's Red Hot
  • 1/2 cup butter unsalted
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a small to medium saucepan over medium-low heat.
  • Allow the butter to melt completely, whisking until smooth and creamy.
  • Use immediately or store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to one month. *Note: sauce will solidify when cold. Heat it gently in a small saucepan or in the microwave before using.

Notes

Recipe Variations

  • Use any brand of hot sauce
  • Substitute apple cider, white wine, or white balsamic vinegar for regular white vinegar
  • Use less butter, to taste
  • Adjust the spice level by adding additional cayenne pepper
  • Add paprika or smoked paprika
  • Add extra savory flavor by adding more Worcestershire sauce
