Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup mayo
  • 3/4 cup sour cream OR plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup fresh herbs tightly packed. I used Italian parsley & basil.
  • 3 Tablespoons fresh chives minced
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons anchovy paste
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
  • Enjoy immediately as a salad dressing or dip. To use later, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Notes

Recipe Variations

  • Add avocado for extra rich flavor (you may need to add more lemon juice to adjust the thickness)
  • Add a handful of spinach for more vibrant green flavor
  • Use any combination of fresh herbs (parsley, basil, tarragon, cilantro)
  • Add minced onion or shallot
  • Add fresh jalapeño for a spicy kick
  • Add white wine vinegar in place of lemon juice
  • Use garlic powder in place of fresh garlic in a pinch
  • Substitute plain Greek yogurt for the sour cream and/or mayo
