Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh basil minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Use a hand mixer to whip until smooth and creamy.

Notes

Recipe Variations

    • Substitute plain Greek yogurt for the sour cream
    • Use flavored sour cream
    • Add any of your favorite fresh herbs, such as oregano, thyme, rosemary, or tarragon
    • Add minced or grated onion
    • Substitute dried herbs for fresh in a pinch
    • Add additional seasonings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or Italian seasoning
    • Drizzle some olive oil over the top
    • Switch up the flavors by using cilantro, cumin, diced jalapeño, and/or cayenne
