Homemade Chocolate Sauce

  • 1/3 c. cocoa powder
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla*
  • *substitute almond raspberry, or orange extract in place of vanilla for different flavors


  1. Combine cocoa powder and sugar in small saucepan; blend in evaporated milk.
  2. Add butter.
  3. Cook and stir constantly until mixture begins to boil.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Serve warm; store in refrigerator.
  6. *Can be reheated.
